Short version: AirBike Pro does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. All workout information stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to export it to a service you control. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
AirBike Pro is an iOS application that connects to a Rogue Echo Bike via Bluetooth and records workout metrics including power output, cadence, speed, and optionally heart rate. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.
By using AirBike Pro you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
AirBike Pro collects no personal information automatically. The app does not require you to create an account, provide your name, email address, or any identifying information in order to function.
The following data is recorded locally on your device during use:
None of this data is transmitted to the developer or any third party unless you explicitly initiate an export action (see Section 4).
All workout history, rider profiles, and app settings are stored exclusively in AsyncStorage on your local device. This storage is private to the application and is not accessible to other apps or to Apple.
Data stored locally is subject to the standard iOS data protection provided by your device's passcode and encryption. The developer has no access to this data and no means of retrieving it.
Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all locally stored data.
AirBike Pro supports optional integration with three external services. None of these integrations are enabled by default. They are activated only when you deliberately configure them in the Profile tab. Each service is governed by its own privacy policy, which you should review before connecting.
You may provide a Google Apps Script web app URL to automatically log completed workouts to a Google Sheet of your choice. When enabled, workout summary data (date, duration, average power, TSS, etc.) is sent to the URL you supply. The data goes directly to your own Google account — not to the developer.
Activated only when you enter a script URL. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
You may provide your intervals.icu Athlete ID and API key to upload completed workouts in FIT-compatible format. When enabled, workout files are sent directly to the intervals.icu API using your credentials. The developer does not receive or store your API key beyond what is saved locally on your device in app storage.
Activated only when you enter your API key. Governed by intervals.icu's Privacy Policy.
You may connect a Strava account via Strava's standard OAuth2 authorization flow. When connected, you can upload individual completed workouts to Strava. The OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored locally on your device only. The developer does not receive or have access to your Strava credentials. You can revoke the app's Strava access at any time from your Strava account settings.
Activated only after you authorize via Strava OAuth. Governed by Strava's Privacy Policy.
No data is shared with any third-party service automatically or in the background. Every upload or sync action is triggered manually by you.
AirBike Pro uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with your Rogue Echo Bike and, optionally, a Bluetooth heart rate monitor. The app implements the Fitness Machine Service (FTMS) and Heart Rate Service (HRS) Bluetooth profiles to receive sensor data.
Bluetooth access is used solely to receive workout metrics from your devices in real time. The app does not scan for, identify, or record any Bluetooth devices other than those you explicitly select and connect to within the app. Device identifiers are not stored beyond the current session.
iOS requires your permission before the app can use Bluetooth. You will be prompted to grant this permission on first use. You can revoke Bluetooth permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Bluetooth. Revoking permission will prevent the app from connecting to the bike or heart rate monitor.
The app requests background Bluetooth capability so that your workout continues recording if you momentarily switch to another app during a session. No data is transmitted in the background.
AirBike Pro can generate a visual workout summary card (showing power, TSS, duration, and other metrics) and save it to your device's Camera Roll so you can share it on social media or elsewhere.
Photo library access is used only to save images that you have explicitly requested to save. The app does not read, browse, or access any existing photos or media on your device.
iOS requires your permission before the app can add photos to your library. You will be prompted when you first attempt to save a summary card. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
AirBike Pro contains no analytics frameworks, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting services, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
The developer does not know how often you use the app, which features you use, what workouts you complete, or any other behavioural information. This is by design.
The developer does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer any personal information to third parties. There is no personal information collected by the developer to sell.
AirBike Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because the app collects no personal data at all, it poses no specific risk to younger users; however, parental guidance is recommended for users under 13.
All data is stored locally on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete individual workouts from the History tab at any time. Deleting all app data or uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored information.
Because the developer holds no copies of your data on any server, there is nothing for the developer to delete on your behalf.
If the developer makes material changes to this Privacy Policy, the updated policy will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
The developer is committed to maintaining the privacy-first approach described here. Any future feature that involves data leaving the device will be clearly disclosed and will require explicit opt-in by the user.
